I wish there were signs of spring here despite the freezing cold, but we're still in the dead zone. No blooms, no blossoms, no color. But hopefully soon! It's supposed to be in the 60s this weekend. Woohoo!
Those images are something I miss: Bradford pear trees, tulips, jasmine. I spent a number of years in Virginia and they began to bloom in late March as I recall. We had azaleas by late March & April and it was so magnificent. Too cold up here. I think by May we'll have the beginnings of something to show for it all. Til then...brrrr.
I will not die an unlived life. I will not live in fear Of falling or catching fire. I choose to inhabit my days, To allow my living to open me, To make me less afraid, More accessible, To loosen my heart Until it becomes a wing, A torch, a promise. I choose to risk my significance, To live so that which came to me as seed Goes to the next as blossom, And that which came to me as blossom, Goes on as fruit. ~ Dawna Markova
